Why We Started Biblical Moms Unfiltered (Our Story)

Honestly? We didn't set out to start a podcast.

We were just two moms — Caitlin and Savannah — sitting across from each other, being real about the hard parts of motherhood that nobody talks about in church hallways. The mom guilt. The exhaustion. The fear that you're messing your kids up. The desperate need to know that God's Word actually applies to your Tuesday afternoon. And the need — the deep, aching need — to surrender yourself, your marriage, and your children to Jesus, and trust that He is enough when you are not.

And somewhere in those conversations, we realized: other moms need this too.

The Problem We Kept Running Into

There's no shortage of Christian content for moms. But so much of it felt polished. Curated. Like everyone else had figured out a secret formula for godly motherhood that we just hadn't found yet.

We wanted something different. We wanted the kind of conversation you have with your best friend — the one where you can say "I yelled at my kids today and I feel terrible" and she doesn't flinch. She just opens her Bible and says, "Okay, let's talk about that."

That's what we wanted Biblical Moms Unfiltered to be.

What "Unfiltered" Actually Means

It doesn't mean we throw out wisdom or boundaries. It means we refuse to pretend.

We believe that the Gospel is powerful enough to handle our mess. That Scripture doesn't need us to clean ourselves up before we open it. That God meets moms in the chaos — not just in the quiet morning devotional (though those are great too).

Unfiltered means we talk about the real stuff. The stuff that makes you feel alone at 2 AM. The stuff you're afraid to say out loud. And then we bring it back to the Word, because that's where the real answers are.

What We Hope You Find Here

Whether you're a new listener or you've been with us from the beginning, here's what we want for you:

  • To feel less alone. Motherhood can be isolating. You are not the only one struggling.
  • To be pointed back to Scripture. Not as a checklist, but as a living, breathing source of truth for your actual life.
  • To laugh a little. Because if you can't laugh at the chaos, you'll cry. (Sometimes you do both. That's fine.)

We're not experts. We're not perfect moms. We're just two women who love Jesus and love moms — and we think that's enough to start a conversation.

If you haven't listened yet, we'd love for you to start with our Pilot episode. It's exactly what you'd expect from us: honest, a little messy, and completely rooted in faith.

Come listen to Biblical Moms Unfiltered — we saved you a seat.
